Merry Christmas

"Sorry I'm late!" you called, bursting into your good friend Finland's house, but you stopped. You were met with a very... well, you would say strange sight, but it really wasn't not normal. You just were not expecting to walk through the door and see a Norwegian man choking a Danish man with his tie while the one from Iceland watched with mild interest.

"Eheh," you started to giggle nervously, "What's going on here?"

"__-__-_________!" The Dane gasped and struggled to make himself heard as the tie tightened around his neck. "Make him stop!" he whined as Norway pulled on the suspiciously dangerous piece of clothing.

"Eh... ah... er... uh," you stuttered, not knowing exactly what to do since you were still trying to figure out exactly what was going on. "Norway? If you could...?"

The Norwegian frowned, his dull blue eyes looking at you with little emotion, before dropping Denmark. Denmark flopped to the ground, gasping for air.

"Uhm, well," you coughed, deciding to let this incident go. "Nice to see you all again."

Norway nodded in response, not much of a speaker.

Iceland looked over at you and waved. "Same here."

Denmark sat up and flashed you a showy grin. "Of course it is! You missed me, right?"

"The most," you complied to his wishes, sauntering over to where Iceland sat on the raised hearth of the fireplace.

"Of  course you did!"

"Mhmm," you hummed, sitting next to Iceland and tuning out Denmark as he kept blabbering.

You glanced around the house, taking in all the bright Christmas decorations. The tree was, of course, the most marvelous, live and over two metres tall with bright lights, sparkling garland, and obviously ornate and beautiful ornaments decorating it.

You saw Denmark and Iceland and Norway, for certain, but this was Finland's house, and there was no sight of the Holiday-loving nation, or Sweden, for that matter. Curious, you looked over and Iceland.

"Hey," you got his attention, "where's Finny and Sve?" you asked, using your favourite nicknames for them.

"Ah, they'll be coming a little late. Finland wanted to give out presents to everyone again this year," he replied coolly. "So it might be a bit of a wait."

You humphed a little. Finland always wanted to spread the Christmas cheer, and that was good and all, but you wanted to see your friend after coming all the way to his house. "Hmm, I guess I'll just make myself at home then and wait," you sighed.

Time went by and now you were sitting on the countertop in Finland's kitchen, having a decent chat with Norway while you sipped at hot chocolate you made yourself. It was actually pretty good and you were rather content and peaceful for the time being. Until you heard Denmark's whining coming from the other room, loud and clear.

"Why can't I open the presents now?"

"Because it's not Christmas yet," you heard Finland's voice in faint reply.

Sheesh, you never realized how loud that man could be. Guess Finland finally arrived, too. You hurried out into the living room and Norway followed. Smiling, you waved at Finland and Sweden.

"Oh, hi, ________!" The Finnish man said happily while Sweden waved back.

"Finland!" Denmark nagged again.

"But it's not Christmas!" Finland said again, his attention being drawn back to the loud and annoying man.

"Eh, once it's midnight, that counts, right?" The Dane whined, desperate.

"I guess?" Finland said uncertainly, Hanatamago dancing around his feet and Sweden not offering any assistance as he stood behind his Finnish friend.

Denmark looked down at his watch and was silent for a few minutes. "Sweet!" he yelled cheerfully, hopping to his feet. "Guess what time it is!"

You sighed and said to yourself, "Midnight, isn't it?" Finland, you get home late, you couldn't help but think to yourself.

"It's present time!" Denmark hollered, getting up close to Finland.

"Oh, okay," Finland said, still a little uncertain, placing his large bag of gifts down and flipping it over so all of the presents tumbled out and rested at the base of the tree, where everyone else's presents already sat.

Denmark dove for them before you could blink.

The rest of you slowly followed suit, some a little more excitedly than others as you sorted through brightly coloured boxes.

"Norway," Iceland said slowly, turning a neatly wrapped gift over in his hands. "Why does this one say 'from Big Brother'?"

"Ah, so you do know who it's from," the Norwegian replied cooly, trying to pick out his own presents.

Iceland looked down at the gift in his hands. "I'm not saying it."

Norway stopped and stared at the other young man. "Big Brother," he commanded.

"No."

"Big Brother."

"I won't."

"Nothin' wrong with it," Sweden pitched in.

"Come on, Sve!" Iceland complained.

"Ah, I want to be called Big Brother too!" Finland chimed in.

"Aww man, you guys still on that?" Denmark laughed.

"Say it, Ice!" you called.

"Big Brother," Norway persisted.

"You're annoying."

"Big Brother," you nagged along with Norway.

"Even you?"

"Big Sister," Norway demanded.

"You make no sense," the Icelandic man concluded.

Denmark laughed again. "Ah, come on, you guys!" he interrupted, pulling out his own gifts to everyone. "Have a drink and be done with it for now!" he offered loudly, swinging around the bottles of alcoholic beverage with brightly coloured bows wrapped around their necks.

"No thanks," Iceland deadpanned.

Finland replied, cheery as always, "I'll pass, Denmark."

"Not now," Sweden grunted.

"You're annoying," Norway told him, moodily snatching one of the bottles away from the Dane; not because he wanted one, but to make sure the Danish man wouldn't drink too much.

You happily grabbed your own bottle from Denmark. "I'll have one."

"Aha!" he squealed, opening his own bottle and taking a swig while hitting you on the back. "That's the spirit, _________!"

"For later," you finished, putting the drink off to the side.

"You're no fun either, ________!" he whined, drinking from his bottle again. "Come on, all of ya! Just one drink?"

"No," everyone replied at once.

Denmark pouted.

You laughed a little at his expression, sweeping by and grabbing a candy cane off one of the tree's branches before sitting down on the floor and rooting through the presents. You held the peppermint treat in your mouth while you found your own gifts and helped hand out everyone else's.

"Okay!" you called, pulling Finland and Denmark over and sitting them down around you. The three of you were the most high-energy, and this was a fun way to release some of that energy and Christmas excitement. "One, two, three!" all three of you counted down in unison before tearing open all your presents in a race, wrapping paper and bows flying everywhere.

One of Finland's bows landed on Sweden's head, who was sitting nearby. You and Finny crawled over, giggling and laughing. You asked for a picture, but were denied. Finland crawled onto Sweden's lap and smiled brightly, therefore inviting you to take a picture, which you did, very hastily, before taking a disgruntled Sweden's bow off and placing it atop your own head.

And like this, the six of you continued your antics for hours.

It was only once you had tired out examining all your new gifts, enjoying everyone else's, and Denmark's nagging for you all to drink again did you finally get up from around the Christmas Tree and look outside. The sun was up, and you gasped, quickly running to the door once you saw the ground sparkling white.

"Oi, oi!" Denmark yelled, leaning backwards to see what you were doing as you flung the door open and ran outside. "What's gotten into her?" he said as he stood, following you with the others close behind.

You giggled at them standing in the doorway as the snow fell on your head. "White Christmas!"

You grabbed them by the hands and pulled them out the door. Finland, Denmark, and somehow Iceland came along easily. Norway and Sweden needed a little convincing, but as you pulled them out into the weather you smiled brightly.

"Merry Christmas!"
MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!! :D I hope yours was wonderful, and white!! (I was so excited when I looked outside and it was snowing. ^^;) This was supposed to come out earlier, but sometimes I fail and it comes out a day late.
